Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of PVC/ZnTe Nanocomposite Thin Films

ZnTe nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using hydrothermal method and then dispersed in poly(vinyl-chloride) (PVC) to prepare hybrid PVC/ZnTe nanocomposite thin films which deposited on glass substrates by the dip coating technique aim be used photoelectronic applications. Structural, optical electrical properties of investigated different techniques. XRD analysis revealed that NPs have a cubic structure nanoscale size,while pure PVC weak degree crystallinity exhibit broad diffraction peak at low angles. The display an intense corresponding plane (220) indicates preferred orientation nanocystallites along crystallographic axis [220]. This texture was also showed atomic force microscopy micrographs.The FT-IR Raman vibrational spectroscopies confirmed incorporation matrix.The ZnTe/PVC nanocomposites transparency over 80% visible range gap close 4.07 eV. Discrepancies with respect (red shift) bulk (blue are due effect interaction between matrixand nanometric size NPs. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra enhanced blue emission 466 nm,a green emissionat 522 nm strong red 686 nm. Thus oriented induced new behavior polymer matrix. Electrical measurements indicate decrease resistivity nanocompositesas concentration increases.
